Why did you choose to go to Porto, Portugal?

I wanted a more 'southern' european experience, due to the different way of life compared to hasty and stressy Belgium

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 months, can't remember the fund exactly, but around 350?

What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?

Lot's of parties, more dance and electronic oriented parties, alternative scene bit less widespread

Would you recommend the city and the University of Porto to other students?

Very much!

What is the food like?

strange customs compared to Belgium and the typical dish 'franscescinha' is one dangerous attack on your liver.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Porto?

we had to spend about a week in hostels.

How much does it cost to live in Porto?

cheap compared to Belgium

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

halas, I almost spoke English with everyone (or everyone did to me and so I hadn't really got the chance to learn the language)

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Porto from your city?

Metro, foot

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Porto?

Ribiera, contagiarte, ...

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Porto?

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

the music house (not exactly that name) and lot's of historical buildings, porto houses
