Why did you choose to go to Porto, Portugal?

I have been in Porto in an international conference one year ago. I really liked the city and culture at that time even I didn't experience that much. I knew that I had to come back. That's why I applied for Erasmus.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship is 6 months. I get 500 euros/month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?

ESN tries to help and make the Erasmus people get together. For example with organized tours and common parties.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Porto to other students?

Yes.

What is the food like?

I really like the Portuguese food. I'm here to try everything what is Portuguese. It's very sweet but very tasty.

How much does it cost to live in Porto?

I pay 190 euros/month for accommodation. For me the scholarship is enough. I spend most of my money for travelling to the Portuguese cities, but its still enough.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes. I take Portuguese classes for free.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Porto from your city?

The only way is travelling by airplane.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?
