The scholarship lasts from the date when I arrived until the day when I'll leave. It's 400€/month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?
My lifestyle: I attend school four times per week, I do spinning class here and I play in the university volleyball team. During the weekends I try to do some trips, I go for a walk beside ocean and also I go out with my new friends in Porto and from Erasmus.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Porto to other students?
For sure. I love Porto. I'm really happy here. And I recommend Porto to everybody. It's an amazing city and Portugal is a beautiful country.
What is the food like?
I like Portuguese food, it's fresh. I like fresh fish, and I love Portugal's coffee and "pastel de nata".
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Porto?
No it didn't. It was an offer from my university.
How much does it cost to live in Porto?
My experience: accommodation costs 175€ plus elect. and water. Food isn't so expensive and for transports I pay 27€/month.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Porto from your city?
By plane for sure.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Porto?
Rua Galerias de Paris, starting at 77.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Porto?
I don't remember the names, but it's in Gaia near the sea. Restaurants there are really nice, with delicious food, good coffee, view to ocean... just perfect. Also in Ribeira there are great diners.
Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Porto?
If you come here during the winter semester don't forget to bring really warm pajamas because in Portugal there isn't any central heating. Other than this there is nothing wrong, everything is perfect.
