Why did you choose to go to Oporto, Portugal?

I'm studying portuguese at my home university, so i wanted to improve and see how is Portugal.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Scholarship with Erasmus+ studies is 400/month and if you go for an internship its 500/month. Now I'm here for an internship with Freemover program and it's less.

What is the student lifestyle like in Oporto?

It's great. Full of fun, parties, new people from all over the world.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Oporto to other students?

Yes, of course. I spent here 6 months as a student and now I'm working here at the University of Porto. It's a great opportunity to spend some time at one of the most beautiful cities, it's really worth it.

What is the food like?

The food here is different. I'm trying to try everyday something typical, something new and i have to say that it's really good.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Oporto?

It's not so easy to find something according to your ideas but I think that in the end, everyone can find what he is looking for.

How much does it cost to live in Oporto?

It depends on the price of the accommodation you find and of course of how much you want to spend on travelling, parties,.. but it's something around 500 if you are not spending soo much.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yeah, definitely. At the University of Porto, you can study almost every language and of course Portuguese. And I have to say that professors are really nice tot he students, so don't worry.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Oporto from your city?

Ryanair, definitelly.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Oporto?

Ribeira - especially on Monday nights.

And then there is a lot of night clubs in the city centre, you just have to find one you like the most.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Oporto?

Alma portuense - typical food, lunch menu for good price.
