How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I received a postgraduate scholarship, 500€ per month, enough for bills and other expenses.
What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?
I made a lot of friends in the University, everyone is very kind and easy going.
What is the food like?
Best food ever. Try out some francesinhas, you won't regret it.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Porto?
A lot. But I ended up in an excellent place, so keep looking for something that you find suitable for your needs, don't give up so quickly.
How much does it cost to live in Porto?
I used to paid 250€ for the place I lived in. And 250€ for other expensesseem quite enough for just me.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Languages courses are available, I didn't take one because my assessor and the people I meet knew my language, besides is not very different from spanish so it was easy to understand everything, in some extreme cases we used to speak english, even though we didn't knew a lot of it.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Porto from your city?
I recommend search for tickets with a lot of time ahead since it's more economical.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Porto in the future?
Porto is one of the best cities I know, you will love it! Enjoy your stay and the people in there. There's so much to see and live.
