Why did you choose to go to Porto, Portugal?

I was always interested on that part of Europe. Porto offers you great parties, views and architecture.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 months - 400€.

What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?

Everyone is very chill, and friendly. You won't meet anyone who is not kind for you, and they're full of amazing energy.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Porto to other students?

Yes.

What is the food like?

I love coffee and sweets! They are amazing! Oh and the last time I tried a special Christmas pasta with cinnamon.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Porto?

My landlord is amazing! I don't have any problem with my flat, accommodation and with the contact.

How much does it cost to live in Porto?

It depends - if you want to see all the beauty of Porto, Portugal, taste the food and drinks a lot. If you only want to party and drink than I don't know, me and my boyfriend are not doing that.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

If you want to learn, even a little, it is very easy language. If you go to small shops where you want to talk to people you have to learn, and remember some of the phrases, because they can't speak English.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Porto from your city?

Only by plane - I didn't have another option.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Porto?

Doing architecture projects at home with your laptop.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Porto?

I wouldn't recommend anything. The biggest pleasure is to visit and discover them by yourself. It is great!

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Aveiro and ovos moles de Aveiro (a great eggs cream).

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Porto in the future?

Don't be stressed, this city is that what you need in your life to chill and enjoy.
