Why did you choose to go to Porto, Portugal?

I have never been here, honestly I wasn't thinking about Portugal before and when I saw on the list, started to be curious.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Almost 5 months. 450€ per month

What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?

For me is great! A lot of traveling, eating, drinking, partying, going out..

Would you recommend the city and the University of Porto to other students?

Yes, if you are thinking about Portugal, choose Porto! Because is perfect city for students and is beautiful. The atmosphere on the streets is amazing. I am on Universidade Portucalense and it is perfect for Erasmus students.

What is the food like?

Food is okay, but I have to admit I miss my food. They really like creamy soup and cheese and rice with french fries :D

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Porto?

Yes, I paid fee, but I had insurance.

How much does it cost to live in Porto?

I have very high bills and accommodation is not so cheap, and for living good and traveling about 700€.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

For me language is very difficult especially pronunciation. Language course is available at every Uni

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Porto from your city?

Plane, the easiest but not so economical way..

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Porto?

Bars.. Adega, Erasmus bar, Bar 77 there is real student atmosphere. Clubs - I like only Moreclub.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Porto?

Tokyo sushi restaurant (the best place in Porto), francesinha in Brasão Cervejaria Coliseu, Frankie Hot Dogs, pastel de nata in Fábrica da Nata, ice cream in Gelataria Mamma Maria Batalha, kebab in Ali Baba (Via Catarina shopping center), pizza in Mr. Pizza...
