Why did you choose to go to Porto, Portugal?
I choose Porto because a friend told me the city is awasome for a year Erasmus
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I was in Porto for six months. I don't remeber the exact amount but i think it was about 100 Euros every month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?
Partys, study, meet a lot of people of differents countries, exchange of experiences and knowledge, visit places and cities...
In general, the same as where i studied.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Porto to other students?
Yes.
What is the food like?
I liked too much the food of Porto, the price is cheap and of high quality gastronomic. I remeber specially the francesinhas and the good fish. The food from the university canteen was cheap but not very good.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Porto?
No. The University find accommodation to me before I came to Poto in hall of residence called Residencia Universitária do Campo Alegre. The price was cheap but it was a long way to the city center.
How much does it cost to live in Porto?
About 400 € every month
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
The Portuguese is similar to Spanish so it was easy for me to learn it. Also i did a course of Portuguese at the University.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Porto from your city?
By bus.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Porto?
I liked very much the party area called Piolho.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Porto?
I remember specially the restaurants near the beach to eat a good plate of fish.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Praça da liberdade, estação de são Bento, Library Lello e Irmão, Church of clerigos, market of Bolhao, wineries of Porto, Museo Soares dos Reis, Museo Tranvía, Church of San Lorenzo dos Grilos, Fundação de Serralves.....
