How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

9 months. I got €350 for the first 5 months and the other 4 months I got €250 from my home university.

What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?

There's a really good lifestyle, you'll have a great time and party a lot.

Would you recommend the city and the university of Porto to other students?

I would recommend it 100%.

What is the food like there?

The food is pretty good, although some of the typical foods, like francesinha, aren't for me!

Was it difficult to find accommodation in Porto?

It was really hard, it was the worst! You have to be careful with renting places before you get here, the best thing to do is to stay in a hostel in the city centre and to look from there...

How much does it cost to live in Porto?

It's not a very expensive city, you can find some nice houses for 250€ including bills!

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?

The language is difficult in the beginning, but your ear will get accustomed to it with time and you'll understand it perfectly and I can even say that you'll get to the point of being able to speak it pretty well.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Porto from your home city?

Coming from Albacete, which is the closest place to where I live, I took a bus to Madrid and then a flight to Porto and took the metro to the city centre from the airport.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There is a lot of culture and lots of things to see.
