Why did you choose to go to Porto, Portugal?

I choose Porto because i always wish to know more about the culture , language and to meet new people.I heard from the ex-erasmus students that Porto and Portugal in general is a beautiful country and people are very nice and funny !

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My monthly rate was for about 400 euro.

What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?

As a student in Porto i felt great... i went to the university where i was able to learn a lot of things, to visit the countryand also to interact with the other erasmus and portuguese students.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Porto to other students?

Yes, of course i would. I, personally would like to return in Porto to reunite with old friends from ISCAP .

What is the food like?

The food is ok in my opinion, a bit different from our traditional food, but honestly i would not refuse a francesinha! :)

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Porto?

No, the university ofered me the oportunity to stay in a residence with other erasmus and portuguese people and i only had to pay the monthly rate.

How much does it cost to live in Porto?

In my opinion it was not expensive. My monthly rate was enough to live in Porto.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

For me was easy because i speak spanish and i think portuguese is similar. And i olso had my portuguese cours in the University which fas helped me to speak better.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Porto from your city?

I don't think i have an economical way to travel to Porto because is a little bit far , so the plain is the EASIEST and convenient way.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The first one i think is The Seralves Museum which is an amazing thing, the next one is Casa da Musica, The Botanic Garden...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Porto in the future?

yes, i would recommend to not go alone to visit porto at night ant to avoid to speak in another language when they are in pubic.
