Experience Erasmus in Plzen, Czech Republic

Why did you choose to go to Plzen, Czech Republic?

Because it was something new for me. I hadn't heard before about the Czech Republic so I decided to go there.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I was studying there for 10 months. The money that they gave to me was enough because the prices are not so expensive.

What is the student lifestyle like in Plzen?

Nice university! When it's winter it is so warm and the teachers are so nice with the Erasmus students.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Plzen to other students?

I strongly reccomend Pilsen as a place for doing Erasmus.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Plzen?

The rent is cheap. I paid 100 euros per month more or less!

How much does it cost to live in Plzen?

The costs are at a minimum, I think lower than the other EU countries.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is a bit difficult but I had a course in the Czech Language that helped me to understand better and to be more integrated.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Plzen?

The Erasmus Students Network (ESN) in Pilsen will let you know about everything in advance!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Plzen in the future?
