It is quite easy. You should avoid real estate agencies as there are a lot of websites you can check instead.

Old town, it's a must, and all the museums in there.

You should find a traditional place aka 'кръчма', they usually have lunch menu with cheaper prices.

Depends on your taste. There are a lot of underground rock bars. Also there are a lot of festivals that have open stages.
