What is it like to live in Plovdiv? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I lived in Plovdiv for four years and I have enjoyed every moment there. Plovdiv is the second biggest city in Bulgaria.

What is the student lifestyle like in Plovdiv?

The student life is perfect. The city has many clubs, bars, cafes, restaurants..., basically lots of places to have fun and to spend your time.

How much does it cost to live in Plovdiv?

It depends on the places you visit, it can be cheap and expensive but let's say that Plovdiv is big enough to have all kind of places even for people with not so much money.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Plovdiv? Is there any advice you can give?

It's not so difficult to find a place. Many people offer places to rent. If you are a student you can stay also in the dorm of the university that you are going to if the university has one and they have free places.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Plovdiv has one of the best restaurants where you can taste traditional bulgarian and international type of food.

What places would you recommend visiting in Plovdiv?

I would recomend to visit all the hills in Plovdiv, the roman theather, the center, the old town and many others.

Is it good to eat out in Plovdiv? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Happy bad and grill, is a good restaurant with all kinds of food with good quality of serving. Raffy is also a good place to eat. Of course you can always grad a bite at some pizza place on the street or the mall. The Fast food on the street is veey cheap.

Is the nightlife good in Plovdiv? Where is good to go?

The night life is perfect. If you like house music I would recommend W club. More rnb is played at Pasha. Clubs like Galaxy, Planeta, or Secrets play more bulgarian pop folk music.

What advice would you give future students heading to Plovdiv?

Try to have the most fun. Try to visit not just party places but also museums and places connected with the history, because Plovdiv has a beautiful ancient history.
