Why did you choose to go to Perugia, Italy?

I wanted to learn Italian and my school only offered Perugia.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I was in Perugia for one semester, I needed 150 EUR for college and may be another 100 EUR for everything else (with travelling).

What is the student lifestyle like in Perugia?

It is very free. Everyone is friendly. Every day you can go for beer, pizza, party... If you have any problem, you can just ask for help and everyone is really nice and helpful.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Perugia to other students?

Definitely, yes :)

What is the food like?

For me, nothing special. But, since I love italian food it was great.

How much does it cost to live in Perugia?

I didn't find it expensive. My tuition fee was of 150 EUR per for month. But the cost of the apartment was +200 EUR. But that depends on the number of people you share your apartment with.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I was studying at a University for foreigners so for me the language leesons were for free. Before Erasmus I learned Italian for one year, level A1 and it was easy to get to grips with language.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Perugia from your city?

For me the easiest was to fly by plane and then bus from Rome to Perugia. It was more confortable than train and less complicated.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Perugia?

Luna bar, Irish pub, Loop bar...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Perugia in the future?

Don't worry, just talk with people and it will be great time in Perugia.
