What is it like to live in Patras? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Patra is the perfect city for student! its combine everything you might want. Good food, lifestyle, nightlife, good prices many places to visit and see. Also, everything it's around the city center and in a small distance so you can go everywhere by foot.

I totally recommended for students!

What is the student lifestyle like in Patras?

It's full of students so you will always have something to do or somewhere to go. There are club's, beer houses, restaurants (with live music) and more quiet places for wine or local drinks as oyzo raki but also cinema theater.

How much does it cost to live in Patras?

Patras is not an expensive city comparing with other Greek or European cities. It's might cost around 450 euro per month including rent and other personal facilities (super market, electricity and water bills) but it depends from the lifestyle everyone choose.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Patras? Is there any advice you can give?

There a few sites where you can find accomodation in Patras and pages on Facebook with students offering places. In my oppinion it's better to find a place in the city center or around it because the buses stop on 20. 40.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food in Patras and general in greece is really good! You can find places with homemade food and local recipies and many places with the famous greek food called "pita " and "souvlaki".

What places would you recommend visiting in Patras?

The new archaeological Museum, the Roman bridge, the castle of patras, the Roman theater of Patras, Achaia Klaous where the local "tentoura" is produced and many other places for fun and entertainment.

Is it good to eat out in Patras? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes there are a lot of places where you can eat out in Patras. Restaurants, grill house, taverns. Most of them are family bussineses so the food is thoughtful.

Is the nightlife good in Patras? Where is good to go?

The nightlife in Patras is one of the best in Greece. Everywhere you go there is a place waiting for you! All tastes are covered, from bar's club's beer houses and many others.

What advice would you give future students heading to Patras?

Enjoy every minute you will spend in the city and you will never regret it!
