City is very lively all year around with lots of cafes, bars and one of the best carnivals in the world!
How much does it cost to live in Patras?
It is much cheaper than Athens and thessalonica.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Patras? Is there any advice you can give?
Lots of accommodation choices with a wide range of prices.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
You can find typical Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. I always like to taste local sea food.
What places would you recommend visiting in Patras?
Archaeological museum, Rion bridge, castle and Roman conservatory, Achaia Clauss winery, St. Andreas church.
Is it good to eat out in Patras? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
It is good and affordable. Best choices are in Rion area.
Is the nightlife good in Patras? Where is good to go?
Depends on season. Between October and March, pick among places in city center. Between April and September lots of choices in 'pelekanos' 'kastelokampos' and 'Rion' area.
What advice would you give future students heading to Patras?
Grab the opportunity to visit during their stay, Delphi, Ancient Olympia and Ionian Islands.
