What is it like to live in Parma? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's an old italian city, with a big University and lots of students. It's nice and cozy but not busy like Milan Turin or Bologna... it depends on what do you want.

The city is perfect if you get a bike.

What is the student lifestyle like in Parma?

There are parties and concerts of course. Usually from 19 the centre street are full of people doing the Aperitivo. Still there's not the huge night life of bigger cities.

How much does it cost to live in Parma?

Not that much... average for north italy. coffee 1-1, 10euro, beer 3, 00-6, 00 eating outside for lunch 15 or, in the canteen from 2, 50(main course and water) to 10.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Parma? Is there any advice you can give?

It's full of rooms. I wouldn't go to the campus residence cause is quite far from the centre and the bus doesn't work very well at night.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

BEST food in italy! Parma is super famous for the food. Crudo di parma, Parmigiano and wine are famous all over the world. There are also many dishes not that famous but still delicious.

What places would you recommend visiting in Parma?

The big park of course if you want to relax and enjoy a sunny day and the "Certosa" out of the city that is a modern art museum CSAC.

Is it good to eat out in Parma? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Bike is always usefull... also to do hikes. there is also a swimming pool/gym just out of the campus.

Is the nightlife good in Parma? Where is good to go?

Arci (a left side association) promotes concerts and events that are very good.
