The must go street in Oslo

Published by flag-nl Sanne Klein — 4 years ago

Karl Johans Gate is the main street in Oslo. Several restaurants, shops, shopping centers, bars, cafes and hotels can be found in this street. It is really vibrant and beautiful. The biggest concert venues are also located here.

The street reaches from the Central Station (Oslo S) to the Royal Palace (Det kongelige slott). Some of the most important and must see buildings of Oslo are placed in this street: the Faculty of Law, the Parliament (Stortinget) and the Cathedral (Oslo domkirke). Normal shops like H&M and Zara are present in Karl Johans, but also high class brands like Gucci and Prada.

There are always people in this street: during the day most of them are shopping and sightseeing; in the evening many joggers come out to do their workout. In winter, a snow sculpture and ice skating area is created, decorated with the most beautiful lights. Really cozy and definitely worth visiting!
