My experience with Osijek is very good. A medium size city with nice weather and friendly people. We can say that Osijek is student city, there are 25000 students who live there.

What is the student lifestyle like in Osijek?

This is thing which I can't describe. You must try it to know it. :)

How much does it cost to live in Osijek?

For decent life you need about 2000-2500 kn. It is about 300 €. If you don't have a room in student campus. You need 150 € for your rent.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Osijek? Is there any advice you can give?

it is not difficult. You must have some time and patience and you can find nice apartment.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The students restaurants are great. You must try ''Čobanac'' and other Slavonian dishes.

What places would you recommend visiting in Osijek?

Fortress, river Drava, Kopački Rit.

Is it good to eat out in Osijek? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is nice, it is not to expensive. My favorite place is Pizzeria Rustika. Pizza is about 5€ and it is delicious. You must try the famous hamburger from ''Joseph the poisoner'' in fortress. Don't be afraid, it is just brand name. :)

Is the nightlife good in Osijek? Where is good to go?

You must go in Fortress every thursday night. You will find something for you. I recommend club Tufna.

What advice would you give future students heading to Osijek?

Use wisely your time in Osijek.
