live close to the centre, avoid Meadows, St Anns and radford. Best area for students is arboretum and canning circus area

student city, lots of bars, concert venues, lots of international students, city center gets pretty crazy on weekend nights

cheap by English standards, way cheaper than in the south

Excellent Asian food but can get pretty much anything
