Why did you choose to go to Nottingham, United Kingdom?

It was my only choice in England. I wanted to improve my English. My other choice was Finland. But I really like England so I chose Nottingham.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I have 250 € each month from my university. But I received it in one amount like 1,850 € maybe. I will receive some money when I come back in June.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nottingham?

I am studying law at the university of Nottingham and I just have like 10 hours a week. I am really free. I just have to submit essays at the end of the semester no real assessments like other students.

There are a lot of parties in Notts, you can go out every nights if you want! Citylife Nottingham is making this city alive, even more for international students. Events are organized every weeks such as parties and/or trips. It's very good!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Nottingham to other students?

Clearly yes! I really enjoy my year here! The teachers are really nice! The city is really cool!

What is the food like?

I am in a shared house so I cool what I want to cook but there is a lot of chicken!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Nottingham?

No, I found it in May and I came to Notts to visit it and it was done.

How much does it cost to live in Nottingham?

Well... There are a lot of parties, trips, sometimes I go to the restaurant with my friends.... shopping.... but I want to enjoy my year! Maybe 400 € a month

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are a lot of international students. Well, this year there are so much French people so I speak a lot of French!

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Nottingham from your city?

By plane with Ryanair

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Nottingham?

I would say Baa bar or Pompom

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Nottingham?

I really like World Buffet because when you are student it'a only £ 6 and you can eat food from the whole world, that's cool!

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Wollaton Park with deers, there is the house from Batman too in this park (there is a museum in it now).

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Nottingham in the future?

Enjoy your year, do whatever you can do. Live in a shared-house. Meet people. Go out with your friends.
