What is it like to live in Nimega? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Nijmegen is a medium-size town where it’s very nice to live. There are many cozy bars and nice shops. During summer it’s also possible to enjoy the beach on the river Waal.
What is the student lifestyle like in Nimega?
Although it is not as big as other Dutch cities, Nijmegen is a student town, hence there’s plenty of parties and activities all the time. Internationals are very welcomed and the university takes care of them from the very beginning. There are parties every day and of any kind.
How much does it cost to live in Nimega?
The prices in Nijmegen are not too high, it’s definitely less expensive than other Dutch cities and Northern Europe towns in general.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Nimega? Is there any advice you can give?
The university provides students with a good choice of accommodations, but if you are looking for a room in a shared apartment, it is fairly hard to find one, especially for internationals.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Dutch food is not particularly great but there are many restaurants from several different countries.
What places would you recommend visiting in Nimega?
The city center and the river in summer.
