When you are going to study at the university there is a association called SSHN. They will find an accommodation for you. You can find them at the sshn.nl website. Or you can search by yourself at kamernet.nl.

What places would you recommend visiting in Nijmegen?

The Kronenburgerpark. Its a city park and in the summer it is the place to be for students. Also the Molenstraat. It is a street with al the pubs.
