Why did you choose to go to Nijmegen, Netherlands?

Max Plank institute, courses in neurolinguistics, close to Germany, second choice in learning agreement, 1st world developed country, not too big, green and because I had this feeling that the uni would accept me.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I went from September and can stay until February, my deadlines end in January though. Erasmus plus gives a monthly help of 290 to students in countries like the Netherlands.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nijmegen?

Mostly busy, motivated and bright people, lifestyles are diverse like the people.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Nijmegen to other students?

Yes, definitely.

What is the food like?

Depends where you eat.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Nijmegen?

Nope.

How much does it cost to live in Nijmegen?

The cost should not bother you since Erasmus+ or other programs can help balancing out the living costs.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Language courses are expensive but qualitative and worth the money. The language sounds ugly until after a few months your ears "tune" into it...

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Nijmegen from your city?

I traveled from Regensburg taking several trains and it was ok, only the luggage carrying was quite exhaustive.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Nijmegen?

I think you better go to some other town around or some festival but there are a few nice clubs... You can't enter if you are under 21 on Friday and Saturday, though.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Nijmegen?

Nope.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I don't think Nijmegen has too many special sites-that's why cheap group tickets for getting around in other cities in the Netherlands are a good choice.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Nijmegen in the future?

Nope.
