Why did you choose to go to Nice, France?

I wanted to experience French culture, meet new people, live near the sea... It is a good strategic place for travelling, and also because of its good business university: EDHEC.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Three and a half months. I received 500 euros per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nice?

Going to the beach every day, running in Promenade des Anglais, travelling around Nice. It is in a good location to EDHEC university so you can go there by riding a bicycle.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Nice to other students?

Yes, even though its not the true France and not the true French people. This is not a very safe city. There are many things to do in summer time but there is nothing to do in winter time. Moreover, French bureaucracy system is a real tragedy. It is better to rent a flat with Internet.

What is the food like?

It is expensive to eat in the old town and everywhere in the city. The minimum is 15 euros, but the quality of the food is good.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Nice?

Yes, because I found it through an agency.

How much does it cost to live in Nice?

Minimum 430 euros/month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Not really, only common phrases. Yes, so you better take them if your university allows you to do so.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Nice from your city?

By plane. Or first flying to Milan and then taking a train to Nice.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Nice?

Wayne's, High Club and Etoile.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Nice?

I don't know. Only ice cream in the old town.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Museums: Matisse and Chagal or George du Verdon National Park.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Nice in the future?

Don't expect french people will meet you nicely.
