What is it like to live in Nice? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Nice was an amazing experience! It was like a long vacation filled with travel, Beaching and meeting new people. I would recommend this experience to anyone interested in doing a year abroad and especially if they want to do it in Nice because it is such a beautiful and cultural place with a lot of students from all over the world.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nice?

Since there is a large number of Erasmus students in Nice there was always something planned. When the weather was good, we used to travel, go to the beach or drink wine in a bar.

How much does it cost to live in Nice?

Living in France in general is very expensive but it can be minimized through grocery shopping in specific stores. However, the person still has to keep in mind that they will spend a lot of money especially on accommodation.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Nice? Is there any advice you can give?

Its not so difficult because the people who work in the university can help you with that, but if the person wants to look individually using the right websites they can find very good offers but it will be challenging because most of them are in French, for example, Appartager.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is amazing here but pricy. You don't only eat good food in restaurants but even when buying groceries you can feel that its of quality. My favourite food here is the dessert, especially macarons.

What places would you recommend visiting in Nice?

First of all, it is important to go to Opéra Beach then Massena (the main square) after that it is nice to visit Castle Hill and old town. Nice is not a very big place but it is very easy to go to other place like Cannes, Antibes and Monaco.

Is it good to eat out in Nice? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are many good restaurants in Nice like for dessert I recommend visiting LAC. For food, it is a good idea to go around old town looking for cafes to eat in because the prices there are reasonable with a variety of delicious food.

Is the nightlife good in Nice? Where is good to go?

There is not a lot of clubs in Nice and the bars are expensive so its easy to get bored after a while but because there are so many new tourists coming and going and with the available option of cheap wine it is still possible to make amazing memories.

What advice would you give future students heading to Nice?

Experience everything you can and travel a lot with the exchange students that you meet because this is what you will remember when you leave.
