Why did you choose to go to Nice, France?

Because it was the only city in the south of France where my school had a campus.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with your living costs?

What is the student lifestyle like in Nice?

There are a lot of things to do around, good party but expensive for students.

What is the food like?

Delicious.

Was it hard to find your accommodation in Nice?

Yes! The summer school I was in, gave me a terrible awful disgusting room in a students' residence where I struggled to spend my time in. It was in a bad location and there were very bad co-habitants. "Les Estudines" is the worst option in Nice, please do not take it. Its location was bad and connection to the city too, there was a very bad athmosphere and it was very dangerous, especially for women.

I tried to change immediately but everything was already taken and if it was available it was too expensive (1000 euros a month).

How much does it cost to live in Nice?

Around 1500 a month when you find a good price for accommodation.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Nice from your city?

By plane.

Would you recommend to go on a night out in Nice?

Yes, just be careful, specially if you are a woman.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Nice?

Chez Memere! one of the best French restaurants in Nice! Very nice people, amazing food and a good price! It is also really well located, in the heart of the old town.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The hill in the Chateau, Matisse Museum, Marc Chagall Museum, Beaux Arts Museum...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Nice in the future?

Nice is a really easy going city, but after 2 weeks you need to go somewhere else... So go to the nearest sport shop, get yourself a snorkelling kit and go to every beach around Nice! You will not regret it! Villefranche sur Mer, Antibes, Monaco, Cannes, Cap d'Ail, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (Paloma Beach), etc. All those cities have a lot to offer and also sand beaches, because Promenades de Anglais in Nice is a stone beach, but nice anyway.
