What is the student lifestyle like in Nice?

Nightlife is pretty awful in comparsion to my home university, drinks cost a fortune and a club entry is very high. Smaller clubs and pubs are better, but get boring after going to the same place for four months.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Nice to other students?

Personally, I wouldn't come here again.

What is the food like?

Food is good but very expensive. For being in France, there is a lot of pizza restaurants. I found it difficult to find a place that didn't sell pizza.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Nice?

No, I used a website that didn't cost anything, however this made it more stressful.

How much does it cost to live in Nice?

Too much.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Almost everyone speaks English in the town, if you try to speak French to people, they will reply in English. It is a waste of time trying to learn it.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Nice from your city?

Flying.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Nice?

A flat party, costs less and you'll have more fun than in the clubs.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The ruins on the citadel and some of the churches, the surrounding towns have more interesting things.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Nice in the future?

Save up a lot of money and get a flat in the old town.
