What is it like to live in New Delhi? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Delhi is great for sightseeing as well as nightlife. It has heritage,cultural diversity, great food, adventure activity. City reflects that authenticity at the same time reflect the modern lifestyle.

What is the student lifestyle like in New Delhi?

Lifestyle differs for student belonging to different streams but one thing is common is the passion to roam. It provides hustle bustle environment for party lovers whilst also provides secluded places for lovebirds. You can see the diversity among the regions you are exploring.

How much does it cost to live in New Delhi?

Delhi is not very costly like other European countries but yes somewhat with respect to other Indian cities.

Room : INR 10000-25000 / p.m (depending upon the locality)
Food : INR 1200 ( average rate / without alcohol)
Travel : Metro ( cheapest I have seen in all countries i have been to)

Is it difficult to find accommodation in New Delhi? Is there any advice you can give?

Its not difficult but beware of fakers.

You can use hotel booking or private contractors to book before coming.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food diversity is the biggest asset of Delhi.
You can taste the whole countries cuisine in small Delhi itself.

I love Rajma-Chawal, Chicken Lollypop, Muttom Rogan josh, Chicken Keema, Masala Dosa , Aloo Paratha, Dal .... u name it and it will be available for you.

just be caution with the hygiene of local street vendors. No such issue with known commercials.

What places would you recommend visiting in New Delhi?

Humayun's Tomb, Akshardham temple, Cannaught Place, Vasant Kunj Mall, Select city walk, Kutub minar, Delhi University north campus, Sarojini nagar market, South Ex Market, Old delhi (be little cautious here of street vendors), Murthal (nearby deljhi), Hauz khas village

Is it good to eat out in New Delhi? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes its great to eat out.

Rajender da dhaba, Pandara road, Old delhi paranthe wali galli, The Park, Park balluchi (deer's park), Social.

Is the nightlife good in New Delhi? Where is good to go?

Its great. You can go for Discs in night. Enjoy d drinks to d max.

Kitty Su, A state of music(Radisson blu) and other 5 star hotel gives divine environment

What advice would you give future students heading to New Delhi?
