What is it like to live in New Delhi? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

If you like chaos mixed with serentity,if you like to enjoy awesome street food alongwith exquiste fine dining options, if you like to adventure right in middle of the road then Delhi and New Delhi will never fail to surprise and astonish your orderly soul.
I would only revommend bravehearts to come here if have no other choice.

What is the student lifestyle like in New Delhi?

Student lifestyle will depend alot on which part of city you stay.If near the univesities area spread all across both Delhi and New Delhi then life can be struggling but fun not expensive but tolerable not simple and boring but mysterious and challenging each day.
If you remain a foreigner life is tough n rough here.

How much does it cost to live in New Delhi?

Depends on your choices and exclusions.
But i could say around U$300/ per month could cover all your basic necessities provided you choose good roommates to share living expenses which could be quite steep in south delhi upmarket areas.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in New Delhi? Is there any advice you can give?

Yes and No.
Best advise is to get going well before you reach here.
Internet and local classified websites abound depending upon your purpose and budget.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Local Food in general iis awesome and tasty and cheap but you have whole gamut of options starting from U$0.50/meal going uptil U$100/ meal as well within 10meters area.
The inequality and life frequency is mind boggling and paradoxical not found anywhere else.
Bangkok comes close but on different wavelength and sphere.
Best of luck.
As they say if you can survive in Delhi you can easily survive even in a jungle.

What places would you recommend visiting in New Delhi?

Alot.You have everything going here.
Internet and lonely planet guides can help.
But wondering and exploring without any set agenda after couple of days seems best option.

Is it good to eat out in New Delhi? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes just look around and go with the crowd.
Have food courts and global restaurant chains in top end malls and party joints spreaad in north and south delhi zones.
Get a local and enjoy.

Is the nightlife good in New Delhi? Where is good to go?

Yes good but risky if girls are alone.

What advice would you give future students heading to New Delhi?

Get a local contact which is trustworrthy and dependable.
Dont trust all and play safe always.
Never jump to conclusions.
Stop comparing and judging with your existing notions and standards.
Explore, cherish, enjoy and imbibe the Indian life in its raw and natural survival mode always.
