What is it like to live in Nantes? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Nantes is the burst of social activity and personal space at the same time! The downtown is always crowded full of events and interesting fairs. Yet to move just a few kilometers away you can find yourself in a peaceful garden of siting by the Loire! Not forget to mention how good is the transport system as well as the greenness of the city, along with a beautiful architecture! So if you are an eco-art lover and aesthetical type, this city is definitely for you!

What places would you recommend visiting in Nantes?

Lieu Unique is one of my favorite places which is an old cookie factory nowadays becoming and art space, a pub and a book shop. It also holds events like dance, concerts, poetry evenings! Basilique Saint-Nicolas is one beautiful temple, which is totally must see and walk around exploring all the elements of its neo-gothic style and the quarter itself has also something to show you. The museum of Jules Verne, Place Royale, Katorza cinema.

Is it good to eat out in Nantes? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I love crêperies that offer you Nantaise specialty - salty buckwheat crêpes. And also chinese/tai/indian food is on hight point. Yum Yum is one of my favorites!

Is the nightlife good in Nantes? Where is good to go?

According to my experience the best night life is in Bouffay quarter that has enormous amount of bars with a great choice! It is quite noisy during the work day and by the weekend it gets crazy. There are also some Irish pubs that hold intercultural events and baristas speak only english! Like Giggs, Flemings.
