Why did you choose to go to Nantes, France?

I had to spend a very good amount of time at this university. Furthermore, studying Intercultural Communication I could have the opportunity to meet people from different cultural backgrounds, what is especially important regarding the specifics of the degree program. I believe that knowledge and skills gained during the Master’s studies will be very actual and applicable in my home country, which is connected with other European Countries both in economic and cultural spheres. I could improve my French, English as well as my overall personality with an increase in my confidence.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I have already completed Joint Research Master's Programme in “Electronics System and General Electrical (SEGE)" from École Polytechnique University of Nantes, France.

Now I am staying in Nantes to search a job.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nantes?

The atmosphere in Nantes looks like if I could improve my French, English as well as my overall personality with an increase in my confidence.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Nantes to other students?

Yes, the study level is very good. Methods of teaching are nice. I recommend all the students to come here and focus on your career and learn different culture.

What is the food like?

I love French food. Little spicy. Varieties of Cheese, Baguettes.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Nantes?

Yes, after completing your study it would be very difficult to found a room or apartment in France.

How much does it cost to live in Nantes?

Around 400 Euros per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, my university organised a french course for me. I always try to speak french.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Nantes from your city?

BlaBlaCar, Euroline buses.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Nantes?

City Commerce Center. My favorite place.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Nantes?

I am vegetarian. So I always eat legumes.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

French culture is really awesome. I have so many french friends, their behavior, talking sense is really good.

But in France most of the people don't speak English language.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Nantes in the future?

Studying in France or doing a Research Internship is not simple.

So, be confident. Focus on your study, your career, and also improve french language.
