Why did you choose to go to Nancy, France?

Icn business school is a great school which offered me the possibility of doing a double degree programme; I really wanted to go to France and Nancy is really well located, just in the middle of Europe and very close to Paris.

I had a grant for 9 months, 300 euros per month. France is expensive.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nancy?

Nancy is full of students, both French and from all over the world; if you have a walk around the city most of the people you will see are students. Nancy offers to the students lot of activities and things to do, discounts for cultural activities, lot of bars, places to play sports...

Would you recommend the city and the University of Nancy to other students?

Yes, I would, I had a great experience.

What is the food like?

How much does it cost to live in Nancy?

As all French cities is quite expensive, but less than big cities as for example Paris.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there any language courses available at the university?

Yes, in my school I had my courses in English, but I was able to attend to French classes, as a Spanish girl learning French is not very difficult.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Nancy from your city?

By bike! Velostan is a service that the city of Nancy offers you. You can rent a bike for 50e a year.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Nancy?

Downtown always!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Nancy?

If you are in Nancy, it is mandatory to go at least once to Le Bouche à Oreille.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The opera is quite cheap and the Nancy jazz festival is amazing. Lot of concerts during the year as well.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Nancy in the future?

Try to live downtown.
