How long did your scholarship last? How much money did you receive to help you cope with the cost of living?
It was a six-month scholarship, I received 230 euros per month.
What is the student life like in Nancy?
Great! Nancy is totally a city for students. It's not that big so you can walk around everywhere and it's full of other students.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Nancy to other students?
Yes.
What is the food like?
It depends on what you want to eat, but there are a lot of nice places where the food is good and not too expensive.
Was it difficult to find accommodation in Nancy?
I found it through the university.
How much does it cost to live in Nancy?
About 400/500 euros per month.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?
French is not very easy but after a while you become better at it and yes, the university does offer courses.
What is the easiest or most economical way to travel to Nancy from your city?
From Milan by train.
Where do you recommend to go on a night out in Nancy?
To Erasmus parties and L'Envers club.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Nancy?
La Grange, Les Mains à la Pâte and le Bouche à Oreille.
Which interesting cultural sites are there to visit?
The Place Stanislas, the Aquarium and the Jardin Botanique.
What other pieces of advice can you give to students going to Nancy in the future?
Go to Nancy and make a lot of friends! Erasmus is the best thing ever, I miss it very much!
