What is it like to live in Nairobi? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Well I actually grew up in Nairobi,Being the capital city of Kenya it is a wonderful place not only to visit but also to Live.I would recomment anyone or everyone who lives to have fun and get to know new interesting cultures and people to visit Nairobi.The city is busy as usuall what everyone would expect to find in a capital city but yet again people are willing to exchange a few greetings despite the busy schedules they have.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nairobi?

Nairobi has many Universities including one of the best and biggest universities in Africa. Nairobi University.The universties are situated near towns so reaching your lectures is always easy you can take a walk or drive a `matatu´bus .There are alot of cool places where student chill and hung outjoints.The sarit center,The Junction,Westlands and many more.If you are a rugby fun then you can have the pleasure to see live games of safari 7 in kenya Nairobi

How much does it cost to live in Nairobi?

Well the living standard in Nairobi is higher than any other town in kenya but ofcourse cheaper depending with where in Nairobi you want to stay.If you stay in student hostel you can pay 25,000ksh(230 euros) rent for the whole semester.Food is also cheap but once in a while if you go to a good restaurant you can pay 4euros(650ksh)Roughly with 25,000 you can live okey as a student in nairobi but it is always advisable to have more than to have less depending with how one spends.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Nairobi? Is there any advice you can give?

Nairobi in itself is conjested and yes it might be difficult but as a student you can get a good house but maybee rent with a friend .this you can find abit far from the hostel.But once you book early enough then surely you can get a student room

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is delicious and since we have a multicultural city we have different kinds of restaurants and ofcourse meals .My favouraite Dish Nyama Choma means fried beef.Anyone who visits kenya you gotta have that you will like it

What places would you recommend visiting in Nairobi?

Everywhere coz its just so lovely

Is it good to eat out in Nairobi? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

yeah .I mentioned some of them earlier,We have the sarit centre,The junctions and guess what eating joints in Nairobi are opened every other day

Is the nightlife good in Nairobi? Where is good to go?

Its crazy and fun.You will get to meet great people funny people crazy people all sourts of people .you just have to be careful and open your eyes wide.One rule i learned when dealing with night life.never leave your drink unattended.Be smart.

What advice would you give future students heading to Nairobi?

You know what took you there.Education is your priority and sureyou will get the best but you gotta mix it with th efun .Create friends a big network.Be outspoken and surely you will not miss anybit of the action.Have fun in Nairobi.You can letr me know once yu are there and if am there too we could chill out coz i like networking too.Peace and God bless you.Love one another always
