NAIROBI is that city that everyone minds their own business, everybody in the street always seem to be in a hurry. Traffic jam is a massive problem, but it is among the best cities to live in as long as you have money

What is the student lifestyle like in Nairobi?

Nairobi town is not so good for students. Although I can recommend the outskirts of Nairobi. The town is so expensive for students.

How much does it cost to live in Nairobi?

On average, someone staying in town will have to part with around 400-600USD a month as rent, and in addition to 200 USD for food and personal upkeep.
In the outskirts,life is a bit cheaper by almost half the standard.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Nairobi? Is there any advice you can give?

With new apartments being set up day and night and real estate taking the center stage of development, it is quite easy for one to get accommodation in Nairobi.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Here the main food is 'Ugali' a delicacy made from maize flour with boiled water. It is normally accompanied with stew, starting from vegetables to meat. Other common dishes include rice, Bread, and wheat products generally, French fries, Indian dishes, Chinese food, etc. All kinds of dishes can be found in Nairobi, you only need to know where to source them. My favorite dish is Ugali and fried Tilapia.

What places would you recommend visiting in Nairobi?

There are a lot of great places to visit starting from the national parks, like Nairobi National Park, Forest such as Karura Forest, great hotels with serene environment, nature parks and gardens like Uhuru gardens and many more.

Is it good to eat out in Nairobi? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are many places where one can eat out in Nairobi, starting from simple places where you can interact with the nature to the complex expensive hotels. I like simple places

Is the nightlife good in Nairobi? Where is good to go?

The nightlife is awesome in Nairobi, with increased security and the availability of Uber taxis at your disposal, it even becomes easier. Preference depends on the amount one wants to spend. The Uber drivers are always ready to help when one needs such advice
