Living in Nairobi is fun an very vibrant, the locals speak English as the schooling system is in English and Swahili is the National Language.
Its lovely and very friendly.
What is the student lifestyle like in Nairobi?
Very fun and cheap to live there if you are a student. Everyone is willing to help you.
How much does it cost to live in Nairobi?
Depends on your lifestyle, a student can live on anything from 200$-500$ USD per month excluding rent.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Nairobi? Is there any advice you can give?
Finding accommodation is relatively easy, the student should however find housing via school that on their own.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is amazing there is everything from local cuisines to international Fast food chains like Burger King. My favorite food is Nyama Choma at Kenyatta Market.
What places would you recommend visiting in Nairobi?
Nairobi is the only City in the world with a National Park. I would highly recommend visiting the Nairobi National Park, The Museum with the Snake Park, Giraffe Center and Mamba Village to see the crocodiles.
Is it good to eat out in Nairobi? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
The Eat out Spots are amazing and the food ranges to Ethiopian to Indian. I like going to Haandi and China Plate. As for local places you can go to Ronaldo's
Is the nightlife good in Nairobi? Where is good to go?
The nightlife in Nairobi is amazing, the clubbing scene is centralized at Westlands so you can go from Club to club in the same area.
What advice would you give future students heading to Nairobi?
Make sure you have fun and enjoy the city!
