Legzira Beach, Morocco
Legzira is a wonderful beach in the south-west of Morocco, located 10 km in the north of Sidi Ifni, and 150 Km to the South of Agadir. It’s so famous in Morocco by the strange and beautiful nature on the beach. Because there, the Atlas Mountains go inside the beach until the Water of the ocean, creating amazing Arcs (shared in the pictures below) because of the effect of the erosion, On 2014 legzira was between the 12 most beautiful beaches in the world.
It’s also a good place to practice fishing, because It’s a savage place, and just few people visit it, so there you can catch so many kinds of fish, because in crowded beaches usually fish go deep in the ocean because they get scared, but in Legzira they are not.
In windy days people there practice some wind games, they are some associations which can rent you the material or take you on a ride with parachute in the beach as showed in the picture bellow.
Food and drinks:
In the borders of the beach you find some restaurant where you can find so many kinds of meals : grilled fish (so many kinds of fish and you can choose what you like), Tajine of fish, Tajine of chicken, Tajine of beef meat, Pizza, Panini…etc). And there are some coffees also.
Accommodation:
There is no flat in this place to stay and sleep during the night, at least if you have your tent and sleeping bag (this place is very secure and the local population are so kind, friendly and calm), but if you don’t have the sleeping stuff, I recommend to you to rent a house or apartment in the two nearest cities, which are, Mireleft (village 20 km far from Legzira Beach) or Sidi Ifni ( a small city, 10 km far from Legzira Beach). The price to rent a flat in both of these cities is around 20 euros per night per person.
