Chefchaouen, Morocco
Chefchaouen is a Moroccan city located northwest of Morocco at 120 km from Tétouan. This city, built on an altitude of 600m on the RIF chain, is one of the favorite tourist destinations for Moroccans and foreigners who love to visit mountains. Chefchaouen is characterized by the blue color on the walls of its houses, which gives it a unique charm and exceptional beauty.
Life in Chefchaouen :
Life is normally very quiet in this city, the residents are modest and kind, and generally the Moroccan character of traditional simplicity dominates this city.
Transportation :
To get to Chefchaoun you have to take a grand taxi or a bus from Tetouan. It will cost you 15€ more or less, within the city you won't need any transportation cause it's a small city and it's better to explore it by foot so can get the most out of the beauty of the blue painted streets.
Accommodation :
Hotel prices in Chefchaouen vary from 15€ to 120€ per night per person, and you can also find people renting their houses and apartments so the price can go down to 10€ per night. All accommodation prices vary depending on the view since many houses built on the cliffs, especially in the Akchour area.
Nature in Chefchaouen :
It's a small terrestrial paradise. You will love the mountain nature in the surroundings of this city, especially in the Akchour area where you can find lakes, rivers, waterfalls and cliffs. There you can have your lunch in the gardens surrounded by these beautiful landscapes.
