What is it like to live in México, D.F.? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Mexico is a very good city to live. Our food is delicious and varied to suit all tastes, the parties are awsome (a lot of tequila) and the people is always very, friendly especially with tourists. As in any large city, you should always take precautions and avoid visiting those places or risky areas. I'm sure you would have a very good experience living in Mexico.
What is the student lifestyle like in México, D.F.?
The lifesyle for students in Mexico is not very different from the others, also party and study a lot.
How much does it cost to live in México, D.F.?
Living in Mexico is really cheap specially to european people. Rents, very good food, public transport, parties and have a really good experience, is not too expensive in our country.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in México, D.F.? Is there any advice you can give?
It's not difficult, there are plenty of options, but my advice is to be careful that is a secure area and that is close to your faculty, Mexico is a BIG city.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is REALLY good! Not for nothing is considered one of the best in the world. The special dishes are tacos al pastor (tortilla with meat, eat tortilla! is delicous), pozole (like a soup), tamales, mole, quesadillas, .... i would never finish. You must eat everything new, it's the only way you can prove is one of the best.
What places would you recommend visiting in México, D.F.?
Visit the historical center (cathedral, zocalo, and all the markets there are really great), also you must go to Bellas Artes is a beautiful building. Teotihuacan (the pyramids) are also great! Well, everything is beautiful for me!
Is it good to eat out in México, D.F.? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
All the spots are great and very cheap, only be careful that is a clean and hygienic place.
Is the nightlife good in México, D.F.? Where is good to go?
Yes! it's great. In downtown are a lot of good places to go, and also in areas like Polanco, Masaryk, Santa Fe and Condesa are the best places to go out.
What advice would you give future students heading to México, D.F.?
