What is it like to live in México, D.F.? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Mexico City is one of the biggest cities in the world, what means there are many things to do. In downtown, there are a great variety of restaurants that you can choose, it depends on what would you like to try. Also there are some museums, Bellas Artes is one of the most important. The big avenue of Reforma is well know in the city because on both sides there are shops and cafés where you can relax talk with your friends.
On the other hand, if you love clubbing,there are many good places where you can dance and have fun, Polanco is one of the best places, there you will find a lot of night clubs.
And last but not least, if you prefer the adventure, there is an archeological zone at 20 minutes from the city , it is called Teotihuacan. There you will explore the ruins from a very old civilization and if you prefer , you can take a trip into a hot air balloon and see the beautiful landscape.
What is the student lifestyle like in México, D.F.?
If you choose Mexico City to study abroad, you will never regret. Mexican students are very friendly and if you are in trouble, there will be someone to help you. It depends on the school, but in general, you will find all the facilities you will need to study, libraries, laboratories, gadgets, and so on. Everyone knows that English is very important, not only to communicate with foreigners but also to have a better job, so because of that , you will be able to communicate and practice your english with other students. On Fridays everyone wants to hang out at night , so be ready for the party!
How much does it cost to live in México, D.F.?
I general, if you are a student , you do not need to spend too much in a flat, there are many options that fit in with your needs. The prices of the food are very cheap and for other kind of activities like cinema, restaurants, clubs , there are really nice places where you can share bills with friends and have fun together.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Mexican cuisine is very famous for being very hot and spicy, and that is true, the majority of dishes are cooked with chili, so you have to be brave!
I really recommend you to try Chilaquiles o Enchiladas Suizas.
What places would you recommend visiting in México, D.F.?
Polanco, Coyoacan, Chapultepec, La Roma, La Condesa, the street market of Ciudadela.
Is the nightlife good in México, D.F.? Where is good to go?
There are some night clubs in Madero street, Downtown
Masaryk avenue, Polanco
Mambo café, Insurgentes avenue , if you want to dance salsa.
