Yes, If you are looking for typical food you can find it in every corner! Best food in Mexico is the street food. If you don't feel comfortable you can also go to "fondas" which is the same food but in a restaurant, a little bit more expensive tho. We also have gourmet Mexican food and International food.

What advice would you give future students heading to México, D.F.?

Stay aware of where you are going, some parts of the cities are not safe and you can avoid this by asking someone in a restaurant, hotel or a local which parts to avoid. Don't walk at night, it's better to take an uber. Public transport besides taxis is not very good but you can try it if you want. Besides this, ENJOY! And learn as much as you can.
