What is it like to live in México, D.F.? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Living in México City is all about the neighborhood, broadly the middle class zones are safe, clean and with all services you need. I completely recommend to live in México City.
What is the student lifestyle like in México, D.F.?
As a student in México City you have free (or very cheap) access to the services you need, there are a lot of cultural and scientific events. All the resources you need are supplied by your university.
How much does it cost to live in México, D.F.?
If you come from Europe or North America living in México City will be cheap for you. A flat in a middle class neighborhood is about US$400.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in México, D.F.? Is there any advice you can give?
To find accommodation in México City is not difficult but you have to clarify all your doubts about the place and ask for an advise to other students.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Mexican food is delicious, in the neighborhood markets everything is fresh (not in supermarket) but if you are not mexican don't try to eat to much salsa or spicy dishes. You must eat REAL tacos.
What places would you recommend visiting in México, D.F.?
Historical Center, Coyoacán, Cuicuilco... México City is huge so there are a lot of places to visit.
Is it good to eat out in México, D.F.? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Is a very good option and is cheap. Taking in account the price and quality Coyoacán is a good option to eat out.
Is the nightlife good in México, D.F.? Where is good to go?
Nightlife is good and there are a lot of options depending of what you want.
What advice would you give future students heading to México, D.F.?
Ask for advice to local students, try to get a place to live near your university, remember that the City is huge.
