Why did you choose to go to México, D.F., Mexico?

I came here to study and I'm sure I made the right decision.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It is 5 years long. I spend around 900 mexican pesos a week.

Would you recommend the city and the University of México, D.F. to other students?

Definitely yes. I'm studying in UNAM and I love it.

What is the food like?

There's this thing called "comida corrida", which is really complete and healthy for a low price! And it tastes delicious (in most places)... don't forget to get tacos, too. My favorite tacos are called "tacos de pastor"

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in México, D.F.?

A little bit at the begging, but I found something nice online later on

How much does it cost to live in México, D.F.?

Well, I pay a 4,700 pesos rent a month, and I spend almost 1,000 pesos a week. There are more expensive and more economic rents, of course. You can find something for 2,500, depends on the zone.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, there are Spanish courses in UNAM. And not only Spanish, many others too in CELE unam.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to México, D.F. from your city?

The easiest way to get here from my city is by plane. If I took the bus it'd take me like 3 days to arrive!

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in México, D.F.?

Zona rosa! It's fun out there!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in México, D.F.?

Tacos chupacabras, los tres poblanos. Oh, the medicine faculty's cafeteria, architecture faculty's too. And well, I recommend comida corrida!

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Museums! Soumaya, for example. The blue house (frida kahlo), Anahuacalli, etc.
Ciudad Universitaria, UNAM.
Teotihuacan, xochimilco, centro histórico, Castillo de Chapultepec.... there are so many things!
