What is it like to live in Medellin? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
In simple terms, Medellin is a great place to live! It's a cosmopolitan city with a huge range of things to do, lots of restaurants, bars, pubs and parks (Poblado, Laurels, Envigado)
What is the student lifestyle like in Medellin?
Medellin is renowned for 2 public universities (Antioquia and Nacional). As a student you can access museums and parks at reduced prices and there are plenty of Cafes, bars and pubs where you can have a drink and meet new people (locals are super friendly)
How much does it cost to live in Medellin?
Prices are reasonable in Medellin. It depends on one's preferences but hostels are well located and are cheap.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Medellin? Is there any advice you can give?
It's not hard, you just need to book your hotel/hostel in advance.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Traditional food is delicious but generally not very healthy (lots of carbs and fried stuff but simply great! ) You have to try bandeja Paisa, empanadas, buñuelos, palos de queso, sancocho, arepa de chocolo.

Medellin is much more than Narcos (netflix).. it's a great city with very nice/friendly people
