Unforgettable!

I really loved my Erasmus experience in Maribor!

I was welcomed by an academic group of the University of Maribor, who treated us all very well and arranged a lot of the parties there, which were awesome and crazy! In general, people are very talkative and nice.

The food in Maribor is good and varied so you can find Italian, Chinese, Austrian, Mexican as well as regional food. For me the best bars in Maribor are 'Cantante' and 'Pekarna Klub MC'. The first one is a Cuban bar, with the Latin music and Cuban drinks, of course, which I can recommend the one Long Island Iced Tea (my favorite). The second bar I mentioned before, plays rock/metal, so it's a good alternative for those of you who enjoy that kind of music, with concerts and cheap drinks too! If you'd like to dance, you can go to 'Trust' or another disco around.

Maribor has nice monuments too and beautiful parks, with a lot of green and pure nature, without mentioning the river, with lots of swans and ducks, which come near us when you want to throw them some food. The weather is nice too, especially because I managed to see the snow for the first time, which was a fantastic moment for me, as you can imagine!

On an academic level, I passed 12 subjects at the University of Maribor - FERI, so it was very good.

Four years have passed and I can still remember Maribor as if I left it yesterday and I want to come back there soon, so I truly recommend it to everyone interested in a calm city, with nature, without violence, with fun parties and nice people to get to know!
