Why did you choose to go to Maribor, Slovenia?

Because of good education, nice culture and many natural beauty.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I am receiving 300€per month, also have student food subversion in amount of 2,6€ x 22days/month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Maribor?

Because of the covid situation, we study online but in few days we will be able to use labs.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Maribor to other students?

Yes because people are sweet and helpful and so are the professors.

What is the food like?

Continental food most of them but flavorful.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Maribor?

No, I am in the student's dormitory. Clean very modern and have everything young people need. Gym, football field, space for jogging etc. Also you have bicycle road for safely ride.

How much does it cost to live in Maribor?

I can handle the money I received since I have an accommodation in the dormitory.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Since I am a native of the Slavic language it is not much of a problem but not all the professors speaking English. That can be a problem for someone who doesn't know Slovenian language.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Maribor from your city?

Definitely by the BUS but it can be much cheaper if you are traveling by car with someone and not using main roads.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Maribor?

Nothing is working at the night right now because of the situation with covid.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Maribor?

I'm not eating meat but people here are waiting for 30min for sarajevski ćevap in “okrepčevalnica Sarajevo “

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Cultural visits are unfortunately closed for now.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Maribor in the future?

Bring 4 season clothing. If you like a peaceful, beautiful, and well-organized place, Maribor is a good place for you.
