Why did you choose to go to Mannheim, Alemania?

I choosed Mannheim because it´s a city where you can find a lot of internationals, you discover very different cultures in just one place and it´s also located so close to few countries you can visit like France, Belgium,Luxembourg, Swiss .. It´s also quite good here, there is a lot of nice places to discover and the transportation is here is very easy and available all the time .

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I came to Mannheim to spend my internship here but it´s paid and I would say that 1000 euro is more then enough to live her .

What is the student lifestyle like in Mannheim?

I live in a students dorm, since the first day I met a lot of people from different countries and they were very nice and kind, it´s good to share some interesting conversations from time to time, chat and have fun together because everyone has a different story and a different lifestyle so sometimes you can learn from people mistake.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Mannheim to other students?

Yes I highly recommend it.

What is the food like?

Well there is shops here you can buy and cook by yourself or you can buy from restaurants, there are many different specialties and Turkish food is so popular here, delicious and not expensive, I would also recommend Lebanese food I really love it .

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Mannheim?

Not really, there is an application called WG-Gesucht in google store there you can find a lot of offers different prices and if you carefully search you will find cheap opportunities .

How much does it cost to live in Mannheim?

It depends on how you want to live, but if you are a good money´s manager it won´t cost you a lot just know where to put your money .

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes there are language courses at the university and also at the abendakademie in the city center but since it´s corona I didn´t have the opportunity to learn but I will as soon as possible .

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Mannheim from your city?

By plane from Tunisia to Frankfurt it´s a two hours flight, then a train from the airport to Mannheim it´s only a 30 minutes trip.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Mannheim?

I would recommend Jungbusch you can find there a lot of nice clubs or the city center where you can find different lovely coffees and the cinema

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Mannheim?

My best one is libanesisches restaurent it´s very very good, the food there is amazing .

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I highly recommend Heidelberg it´s just amazing, very very nice places to see

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Mannheim in the future?

Just take care of yourself, don´t trust everyone and try to enjoy the experience as much as you can, and if you need help just text me.
