  • Madrid - Spain Precious Collection of Museums.

Returning to Madrid in the second time, I spent all my time for visiting museums in Madrid.

  8. Museo de Escultura al Aire Libre de Alcalá de Henares.

  24. Royal Palace of Aranjuez.
  25. Temple of Debod.
  26. Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.

There are 26 museums in Madrid, because I am a student so it is just a great thing, that student will get free-ticket for most of the museums. Of course, in some exhibitions, you will just get a discount. Anyway it is still a great stuff.

There are many museums from art, paintings, science … to love (romanticism). It will take you hours or even days to visiting and discovering just one single museum in Madrid.

I highly recommended vising 2 two most famous museums in Madrid: National Museum of Prado and Museum Reina Sofia if you just have short time in Madrid like one or two days for museum.

  • National Museum Prado

This museum for me is so beautiful, specialized in paintings. Prado museum is the one of the oldest museums in Europe, the building that I have stood today was the house of Natural History Cabinet under the King Charles III, and then it was converted into the new royal Museum of Paintings and Sculptures.

I have been surprised by the size and diversification of this museum; personally I think that it would take a day for this museum.

The ticket fee is about 25 euros for one single ticket, for student it is free.

And remember.

If you don’t have money, you can visit the museum freely at 6 pm. At 6pm the museum would give free tickets because it is just 2 hours upon 8pm when they would close the museum.

So be an Erasmus, just be free and enjoy!

  • Some Paintings inside

Below there are some paintings which I really love from this museums.

The “Lactation of St. Bernard, ” it usually shows Our Lady holding the infant Jesus with one hand, exposing one her breasts with her other hand, and squirting breast milk at St. Bernard of Clair Vaux into his mouth.

St. Bernard received this precious milk as his devoted his life for gods.

I have been impressive strongly by the art of Clara Peeters, it was about foods and cuisines, however, the significant thing is that the artist had painted theses so real and so lively that I have a feeling of the fresh watermelon are just in front of my mouth.

All the foods are painted in details and lively way, for me to show a part of Spanish Culture, the Culture of foods and various cuisines.

  • The work of Roma Colosseo

The work of Roma Colosseo is also a masterpiece making all viewers admire the talents of artist. In this work, the artist is genius when he has imagined the colosseo losing a part in order to show the greatness of Roma Colosseo.

The painting is about the mosque-cathedral de Cordoba, the place I would like to visit in the South of Spain.

There are also many famous paintings in Prado Museums; however, the painting is most famous called Hieronymous Bosch. Garden of Earthly Delights.

I will not tell you about this painting. It is your fortune to visit and experience it.

  • Reina Sofia Museum - Picasso, Dali collections.

Picasso is a famous Cubist artist who spends much of his time living in Malaga and Barcelona and France, where Picasso museums are in the cities. However, if you want to admire the best of the his best masterpieces in Picasso's career, there is no other way than to go to Madrid, where people have ordered him to paint this famous painting.

Guernica's 7. 7 meters long and 3. 49 meters wide, a massive work by Picasso, is one of the greatest war writers of all time.

It is said that the dictatorship of Franco was the darkest period in modern Spain, the regime of fear, the assassinations, and terrorism spreading throughout the country of bullfighting.

Even so, Picasso was a pretty live-in, he barely walked out of the room, spending his time alone and writing art, out of politics.

Then in 1937, the Spanish republic ordered Picasso to paint a picture to direct the world's attention to the Spanish civil war, at the same time the information about the bombing of the Guernica Basque village as Dictator Franco and Fascists screamed for death in peaceful Spain.

Picasso was shocked to hear that news, in which the Spaniards could bomb destroying the Spaniards themselves. Picasso hands his heart out of compassion, and the hatred of Franco's dictatorship with Nazi Germany draws on Guernica's masterpiece.

The knowledge of the work I will give you the place to yourself, museum Reina Sofia to feel by your own.

Believe me, it is such a great fortune to be here to learn about this masterpiece of Picasso.
