Because it is the second largest city in France, full of students and many things to do. It is also a beautiful city.

There are many students who like to go out from monday to saturday. You will always find something to do.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lyon to other students?

Sure

What is the food like?

Good food, but I did not try so many things

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lyon?

It was a bit difficult but if you stay 1 year it should be easier

How much does it cost to live in Lyon?

Rent: 350e aprox
Transport: 30e per month
Foods: 250e per month aprox
The beer at the bars is around 5e the pint.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lyon from your city?

Plane

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lyon?

Cosmopolitan

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lyon?

I dont remember the names. But in vieux lyon there are plenty

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Roman ruins. The Cathedral. Vieux Lyon. Place des terreaux. Museum of natural history. etc.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lyon in the future?

Try to live in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 9th arrondissement, they are the best, but the other ones are quite good too.
Buy your food in Lidl stores, it is cheaper.
